At Grace Manor at Lake Morton, we understand the journey our residents and their families are on, and we provide care that revolves around each resident’s individual needs. We don’t ask residents to adapt to our schedules; we adapt to theirs. When residents’ preferences are respected, they feel a greater level of control over their environment, which helps them stay calm and relaxed.

Our memory care professionals take pride in our warm and family-like environment, which was designed based on the influence of Dr. Lori Stevic-Rust, an Alzheimer’s environmental design specialist. From the color palette to fabrics and furnishings, every detail was used to foster a sense of happiness and tranquility and to support memory and a sense of well-being. In addition, the non-slip wood floors, soothing yet contrasting colors, specialized use of lighting, furnishings, resident room designs and other features that offer memory cues work together to make the living environment less confusing.

Residents enjoy freedom of movement and family members enjoy peace of mind knowing that Grace Manor has 24-hour secured access and video surveillance. Care team members conduct regular visual checks on each resident 24 hours a day. Our community also is equipped with pull cords throughout. We feel strongly that this is our residents’ home, and they should be able to move about freely. In addition, residents set their own sleep schedule.

To ensure exceptional care for our residents, we have on-site health and wellness directors. In addition, our professional and caring team is always available, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to ensure residents get the care they need. Our team members are well-versed in Alzheimer’s and memory care, receiving monthly and annual training to stay up-to-date on the latest news and treatment.

At Grace Manor, we believe that the financial aspect of caring for a family member should be as straightforward as possible. For this reason, we offer an inclusive, flat monthly fee to ensure predictability for families, rather than the more common tiered payment structure based on a resident’s ever-changing needs. Typically, the only additional expenses would be for select services (such as salon visits), medications or incontinence supplies.
